Spectral investigations on binding of DNA-CTMA complex with tetrameric copper phthalocyanines

Abstract: The binding of DNA-CTMA (Deoxyribonucleic acid-cetyltrimethylammonium) complex with two tetrameric Copper Phthalocyanine (CuPc) systems, substituted with carboxylic acid (CuPc-COOH) and derivatized further as an imidazolium salt (CuPc-COOR), was investigated in dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) solutions using UV/Visible Spectroscopy.
