Spectrometry analysis of fumes of (U0.80Pu0.20)O2 hybrid nuclear fuel samples heated to a temperature of 2000°C

Abstract: The results of the spectrometry analysis of a gaseous cloud that forms over (U 0.80 Pu 0.20 )O 2 hybrid uranium-plutonium fuel samples for reactors, which were heated to a temperature of >2000°C, are described. Samples were heated using a laser facility designed for conducting out of pile experiments with the nuclear fuel.
