Abstract:New accurate, precise, and sensitive spectrophotometric method were developed for the assay of L-ascorbic acid in pharmaceutical preparations. The determination of L-ascorbic acid was based on its oxidation by potassium peroxydisulfate in the presence of Ag(I) as a catalyst.
