“…In order to extract the ANCs for 17 F → 16 O+p, a measurement of the transfer reaction 16 O( 3 He,d) 17 F was carried out at a 3 He beam energy of 29.75 MeV where the reaction would be highly peripheral. Combining this with a previous measurement that had been carried out at a beam energy of 25 MeV (Vernotte et al 1994), allowed for a more reliable extraction of the ANCs. Data at laboratory scattering angles between 6.5 • and 25 • were obtained using Si solid-state detector telescopes and a 3 He beam from the U-120M isochronous cyclotron of the Nuclear Physics Institute (NPI) of the Czech Academy of Sciences, while data at laboratory angles between 1 • and 11 • were obtained using the MDM magnetic spectrometer and a molecular 3 He-d beam from the Texas A&M University K500 superconducting cyclotron.…”

“…Set D4 is deduced from the elastic scattering of 30 MeV polarized deuterons on 10 nuclei [27] and the energy dependence of V [28] is adopted in the calculation. Set D5 is the deuteron global potential for the nuclei of Z ≥ 12 with deuteron energies from 12 to 25 MeV [29].…”

“…Because the reliability of DOM predictions for the bound-state properties of open-shell nuclei is terra incognita, we perform comparisons with measured bound-state quantites and with the predictions of the universal s-d (USD) shell model [11], obtained using the ANTOINE computer code [12]. It is well known that the USD shell model is successful in the interpretation of N nlj and S nlj measured for a number of s-d shell nuclei [13,14]. We also extend our DOMs to make similar comparisons for proton bound states, by using an approximation useful for self-conjugate nuclei [15].…”
