Abstract:We present new observations of sixteen bright (π = 19 β 21) gravitationally lensed galaxies at π§ 1β3 selected from the CASSOWARY survey. Included in our sample is the π§ = 1.42 galaxy CSWA-141, one of the brightest known reionization-era analogs at high redshift (g=20.5), with a large sSFR (31.2 Gyr β1 ) and an [OIII]+Hπ½ equivalent width (EW [OIII]+Hπ½ =730 Γ ) that is nearly identical to the average value expected at π§ 7 β 8. In this paper, we investigate the rest-frame UV nebular line emission in our samp… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citationsβcitations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
