Speed Control of Induction Motor Using Robust Control with LSDP

Abstract: This paper presents a robust control system over the induction motor based on the H ∞ and loop shaping procedure. It has a set of simples steps to design the linear control law, the model used is the rotor-flux oriented coordinated system and is linearized by the Taylor's series. Finally the output feedback controller test shows the performance of the drive in presence of disturbances.

“…Acevedo et al utilized H ∞ control in tandem with a loop shaping procedure to govern both dynamic and steady-state responses of IMs. They achieved linearity in the rotor flux-oriented model via Taylor's series [10]. Mohamed, considering model uncertainties and the suboptimal performance of IMs, proposed an H ∞ loop shaping design procedure to formulate a speed controller.…”

“…Although adaptive internal motor control [15] offers disturbance rejection capability for motor control, fails to consider control input saturation reducing the performance. H∞ controller with loop shaping design procedure (LSDP) has also been discussed [16], [17], but when the trajectory goes beyond the close vicinity, the stability is not guaranteed.…”
