Spin alignment measurements of theK*0(892)andϕ(1020

Abstract: is consistent with that in p+p collisions, ρ00 = 0.39 ± 0.03 (stat) ± 0.06 (syst), also measured in this work. The measurements thus constrain the possible size of polarization phenomena in the production dynamics of vector mesons.

“…15. Keep in mind that the φ meson has always been a very interesting hadron in previous studies since its mass is close to a proton but it is a multistrange meson [3,[50][51][52][53][54]. This could be understood from the parton's v n in the same condition: v n of s quark displays a slight deviation from the u (d) quarks (not shown here).…”

“…The included channels of polarized decays are φ → K +K (branching ratio ∼ 83%) and Λ → p + π − and n + π 0 (branching ratio ∼ 100%). While experimentally the direction of the angular momentum is often estimated by the normal of the reconstructed event plane [8,9], we directly calculate the initial angular momentum vector of the participant nucleons event-by-event in the AMPT calculations. All results in this study are for minimum bias (impact parameter from 0 to 15.6 fm) Au+Au collisions.…”
