Spinal cord stimulation in the treatment of chronic peripheral neuropathic pain

Abstract: A review of the modern literature on the issues of spinal cord stimulation in peripheral chronic neuropathic pain is presented. Aspects of the pathogenesis of the formation of neuropathic pain and the mechanisms of the effect of spinal cord stimulation are considered. The results of the studies evaluating the effectiveness of spinal cord stimulation in the most common types of neuropathic pain are presented.
