Abstract:BackgroundSpindle cell carcinoma is a rare biphasic malignancy consisting of epithelial and mesenchymal components. It is a poorly differentiated variant of squamous cell carcinoma accounting for less than 2% of intraoral tumours, with only 69 cases reported in the literature.
