“…It is consistent with Lazarus and Folkman’s (1984) theory of stress and coping that spirituality serves as a coping resource to assist adolescents in overcoming their academic anxiety. Specifically, as stated by Ekwonye et al (2020) , adolescents would engage in some spiritual practices such as self-reflection and mediation to eliminate negative emotions surrounding academic-stress circumstances and analyze the stressful situation in great detail.
