Splenic myelolipoma in an old female greyhound

Abstract: A 10-year-old female greyhound presented with a suspected bulge on the left side of the abdomen. Abdominal ultrasound examination showed a large splenic mass that was surgically removed because of the suspected diagnosis of malignancy. Histological examination of the lesion revealed the presence of haematopoietic tissue mixed with well-differentiated adipose tissue consistent with a splenic myelolipoma.
