Abstract:Spontaneous common bile duct perforation is a rare cause of acute abdomen. Preoperative diagnosis is rare. The etiology is unclear, but the proposed theories include congenital, trauma, necrotizing enterocolitis, intramural thrombosis, iatrogenic, or bile duct stones.
