Spontaneous pneumo‐mediastinum ‐ A benign rarity?

Abstract: Background: Spontaneous pneumo-mediastinum (SPM) is defined as the spontaneous occurrence of free gas in the mediastinum. Although SPM is rare, this is a unique differential cause for pneumo-mediastinum.
