Spontaneous reversal of polarity of the voltage across LLC‐PK1 renal epithelial cell sheets

Abstract: While sterilely monitoring transepithelial voltage (potential difference) across LLC-PK cell sheets over a 24-hr period, we noted that the apical-negative, transepithelial voltage, a key property of the LLC-PK1 renal epithelial cell line, reverses polarity to become apical-positive.
