Spontanous Remission of PAN

Abstract: Polyarteritis nodosa (PAN) affects mostly medium-sized arteries and sometimes small ones as well. The primary methods used to make the diagnosis are through physical examinations, biopsies of organs that are affected, and/or angiographic studies. Immunosuppressants like glucocorticoids and cyclophosphamide are usually started as soon as possible after a diagnosis. So, it's not clear if sudden remission of PAN happens or not.
