Abstract:Spurious thrombocytopenia or pseudothrombocytopenia (PTCP) is an important clinical entity, in which the presence of autoantibodies or anticoagulants used during blood sampling causes in vitro clumping of platelet and thereby resulting in a falsely low automated platelet count.
