According to Zieliński et al (), the lowering of the Sr content in the rivers of the Polish Lowland during the spring is due to elevated surface run‐off from meltwater, providing waters with extremely low Sr concentration (a few micrograms per litre only). The highest strontium level is observed in Upper Silesia, in the upstream portion of the river, where mine waters are supplied via small tributaries, Ruda, Bierawka, and Kłodnica/Gliwice Canal.…”
