This paper presents a generic review of various methods performed to acquire a low SAR for antennas in different applications. While the SAR is minimized, various parameters such as bandwidth, gain, directivity, efficiency, and antenna size are also taken into consideration. However, it is not possible to achieve desirable results for all these parameters together. Thus, the SAR limitations include an imbalance between one or more of these parameters depending on the technique which is used to reduce the SAR. Different techniques are used in SAR reduction like reflectors, designing a highly directive antenna, RF shielding using conductive and ferrite materials, RF shielding using Metamaterials such as AMC, DGS, SRR and EBG, or by using two or more methods simultaneously which is called hybrid method. Each of these types has its advantages and disadvantages that distinguish it from other types and determine the appropriate application for the use of this type. This paper highlights most common SAR reduction techniques, and investigates the differences between them to make it easy for the researcher to select the proper type for each application. As well as, it presents a survey of the researches development of each methods during the past years and introduces a comparison between these researches from several aspects. A survey is also conducted for some recent research that achieves the required SAR value within MIMO systems. MIMO systems represent a key technology for 5G communications. Finally, a proposal was made for using hybrid method with MIMO antenna system to achieve low SAR with a highly performance.

The scope of this paper is to examine the effect of changing the structure of split ring resonator SRR from circular to an elliptical shape. The theoretical analysis of circular SRR (CSRR) is first examined and its results are compared with the simulated ones. Comparison between both configurations is also introduced. The new elliptical SRR (ESRR) can be adapted to operate in a multi-range of frequencies. The effect of gap position in ESRR resonant is also examined. When both gaps are moved but still aligned, the resonant frequency still the same. But when single gap is moved only the resonant frequency in changed to reach its maximum value when both gaps are in the same position. Frequency tunability can be offered by loading only a single varactor diode between the ESRR's metallic rings. The resonant frequency of the ESRR can be controlled by varying the capacitance of the varactor diode. Finite Element Method FEM is used to simulate the proposed structures using Ansys HFSS. A prototype of band notched coplanar waveguide filter loaded with single reconfigurable ESRR is fabricated and measured. A 0.5 pF single capacitor element is used instead of using varactor diode and the measured S 21 is compared with the simulated results. Very good agreement has been obtained between them. A 5.6 GHz and 5.4 GHz notch frequencies in the filter operating frequencies are obtained using ESRR without and with varactor loading, which covers WLAN band.

The ruthenium complex Ru(terpyridine)(2,6‐pyridinedicarboxylate) was successfully grafted onto MCM‐41 using a multi‐step grafting method. The immobilized ruthenium complex was characterized thoroughly using Fourier transform infrared, Raman, UV–visible diffuse reflectance and energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopies, X‐ray diffraction, N2 adsorption, scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and inductively coupled plasma analysis. This immobilized ruthenium complex showed excellent performance in the oxidation of various secondary alcohols to their corresponding ketones with tert‐butyl hydroperoxide as oxidant under solvent‐free conditions, and had the advantages of easy recovery and good reusability.
