Stabilisation and extinction mechanisms of flames in cavity flameholder scramjets

Abstract: Stabilizing a flame in scramjet engines is a current technological challenge. Indeed, the residence time in the combustion chamber is very short, thus limiting the mixing efficiency and consequently, the combustion.
