Fishing boat in Indonesia generally use wood materials. In its development, PVC pipe alternative material can be used as hull. Ship accidents in Indonesia are much due to the turning of boats (capsizing) related to the rolling movements of boats. This research aims to know the fish liner made of PVC pipes with a variation of the hull shape has floodable length that corresponds to the standard SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) and know the change in the rolling movement of boats caused by The addition of passive U tube tanks. The method used in this research is by making modeling with variations of 3 hull shapes and making 3 models of passive tanks of different width size channels to be used in the study. Based on the results of the analysis of shipping software and CFDS for floodable lengths have the results indicating the floodable length of the boats of different variations of the stomach shape have different curved graphs and have fulfilled the rules of SOLAS. The rolling result obtained by the ship with the addition of passive tank. The results of the research showed that boats using passive tanks were able to dampen rolling movements. In model A was able to dampen by 4.40%, model B was able to dampen by 8.10% , and model C could dampen the rolling motion by 15.28%. The wide influence of passive tank is very influential on decreasing in the value of RMS Roll of PVC fish with flat hull.

Fuel savings are closely related to ship resistance. Research on reducing resistance continues to be done in various ways, ranging from hull modification, optimization of the propulsion system and the addition of polymer substances. Resistance are also influenced by ship’s velocity and variations of inter-demihulls length. This challenge has been widely discussed by experts, especially the variety of inter-demihull length. This research aims to analyze the 30 GT catamaran fishing boat resistance with variations in hull type and inter-demihull length. The main aim is to get the obstacle characteristics of these variations. The advantage of this research lies in the more varied shapes and inter-demihull lengths of each model where the characteristics of the obstacles will also vary, so that this research can later be an alternative for the community in the use of catamarans to increase fishing productivity. The study was conducted using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). From the results, one of the most optimal form of the model is the type of hull Symmetrical Hard Chine with a variation of S / L 0.5 at maximum speed.Tthis model has a wave resistance value of 9.87 kN, a viscous resistance of 5.04 kN, and a total resistance value of 14.92 kN. Where there is a reduction of the wave resistance of 12.1%, viscous resistance of 1.5%, and a total resistance of 8.779% from the original model. Another advantage of this type for the Purseseine Boat is the use of a fairly wide deck for the laying of fishing gear.

Submarine propeller need some unique criteria can give bigger amount of thrust with noiseless. The submarine propeller design must able to produce the high thrust value, low pressure value, and smooth propeller streamline. This study investigates and compares some type of propeller that are B -7 series, B -8 series, Au -7 Outline gawn series, and Au -8 outline gawn series with some different parameters, that is blade diameter, number of blades, skew angle and pitch. From some models that have been compared, the best propeller is B -8 series on 500 rpm with thrust value 25481 N, torque value 3927 Nm, average value pressure about 10608,92 Pa, and turbulance flow with average value velocity stream under 14,33 m/s. flow. And the propeller B -8 type has a thrust 25,481 N, average pressure 10,608.92 Pa with average speed on streamline 16.35 m/s with smooth flow.The chosen propeller is used on the Submarine of Midget Type 150 m is Propeller B -8 series type with thrust 25,481 N, average pressure 10,608.92 Pa, with average speed on streamline16.35 m/s with smooth streamline.
