Abstract:This paper focuses on a comprehensive stability study of a two-area power system with wind power integration and synthetic inertia control in each area, considering the effects of varying the interconnection link. Normally, synthetic inertia proposals are analyzed in one-area systems, in which stability is tested without considering transmission system phenomena, such as coherency. As modern power systems are progressively becoming interconnected, the possibility of forming two or more non-coherent areas is li… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
