Stabilization of Nonlinear Singularly Perturbed Multiple Time-Delay Systems by Dither

Abstract: Dither is a high frequency signal injected into nonlinear systems for the purpose of improving their performance. Stability of the dithered nonlinear singularly perturbed multiple time-delay system is investigated by deriving its corresponding dithered reduced-order model and by using the relaxed method to analyze stability of the dithered reduced-order model when the frequency of dither is sufficiently high. Moreover, if the singular perturbation parameter is sufficiently small, then stability of the relaxed … Show more

“…The existence of time delays make the control task more complicated and challenging, especially when the delays are not perfectly known [19]. In recent years, much research attention is paid to the control of nonlinear systems with time delays [20,21]. More recently, adaptive control for nonlinear time-delay systems with unknown nonlinear functions, especially for a class of strict-feedback nonlinear time-delay system, is investigated in [3,19,22].…”

“…Especially, time-delay and uncertainties are often sources of instability and performance degradation in many control systems. Thus, the considerable attention has been paid to the problem of stability analysis and the robust control scheme design for time-delay uncertain nonlinear systems over the past years [1][2][3][4][5]. However, the observer-based robust control technology need to be further developed for the time-delay uncertain nonlinear system with control input uncertainty.…”
