Stage I Recovery of Deformed Platinum

Abstract: The stage I recovery (below 60 OK) of deformed 99. 999% purity Pt has been investigated by residual electrical resistivity measurements. After extensions of 1 to 3% at 5 OK, recovery peaks were observed at (16 f l), (28 & l), and (36 & 1) O K , with associated activation energies (0.05 f 0.01), (0.073 f 0.01), and (0.14 f 0.01) eV.
