Abstract: In recent years the role of diagnostic imaging by pelvic ultrasound in the diagnosis and staging of gynecological cancers has been growing exponentially. Evidence from recent prospective multicenter studies has demonstrated high accuracy for pre-operative locoregional ultrasound staging in gynecological cancers.
