“…Generating H 2 and/or CO using off-stoichiometric oxides via a two-step solar thermochemical (STC) process that splits water (STCH) and/or CO 2 (STCC) is a promising technological pathway to generate sustainable fuel and/or fuel (or chemical) precursors. ,,, Sustainable fuel alternatives are particularly important for heavy-duty transportation or aviation, which are difficult to electrify, and for other applications aimed at achieving a net carbon-neutral economy.
