Standards for Brazilian school libraries

Abstract: The article describes the process of developing standards for Brazilian school libraries. It presents the principles, theoretical framework and criteria upon which such standards were based. The main goal of the standards is to help schools implement the Law 12244/2010, which determines that, as of 2020, each Brazilian school must have its own library.
