Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a painful, chronic, recurrent, inflammatory, follicular skin disease, 1,2 characterized by deep dermal inflammatory nodules and abscesses. 1 Inflammatory lesions may progress to tunnel formation and sometimes fistulization, both of which are associated with pain, hypertrophic scarring, and possible impact on functional use of the limbs. 3,4 Epidemiologic studies
