STAP performance of sea clutter suppression in dependency of the grazing angle and swell direction for high resolution bandwidth

Abstract: Real multi-channel high resolution data was collected for 15 • and 35 • grazing angle and for different swell directions. Space-Time-Adaptive Processing performance of sea clutter suppression is analyzed and compared for these different parameters.

“…At the same time, the auto-correlation integrated sidelobe level ratio (ISLR) is low to -17dB at range compression by windowing, which can be regarded as the ideal orthogonal waveforms. The selected OCDM waveforms have been optimized by using Multi Cyclic algorithm-new (multi-CAN) algorithm [10]. It has auto-correlation ISLR of -3.45dB, and cross-correlation ISLR of -1.14dB, -1.47dB, -1.28dB, respectively.…”

“…The effectiveness methods include the constant false alarm rate (CFAR) and the space time adaptive processing (STAP) technique. This is not the main topic of this paper, and the reader can refer [17] and [18] for a comprehensive understanding. In this case, the motion compensation can be implemented by the Keystone transform [19].…”
