Stapled haemorrhoidectomy versus openhaemorrhoidectomy: a prospective comparative study

Abstract: Open haemorrhoidectomy (OH) treatment has been reserved for prolapsing haemorrhoidal disease (third and fourth-grade) and comprehends excision of haemorrhoidal tissue and is associated with significant postoperative pain.
