Highly mediated, mega-sporting events provide opportunities for elite athletes to use their prominent status to elicit social change. However, with expectations and policies in place to regulate behaviour that prevents athletes from making political statements, athlete activists face risks. An examination of the 2018 Commonwealth Games highlighted two athletes who used their personal reputation whilst at this highly mediated global sporting event to raise the visibility of societal issues. Through the lens of persona studies, this research examined how these athlete celebrities crafted individualised narratives through internetworked platforms of new and traditional media to demonstrate forms of athlete citizenship. This research illustrates how athletes can become co-creators of the social cause narrative, demonstrating how valuable athletes can be in amplifying the core values of major sporting events by reinforcing a fluid form of intercommunication.

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of brand ambassadors on bicycle purchasing decisions. This research is a quantitative descriptive research with the type of survey research. The population in this study are consumers who buy polygon bicycles at YZKUZMA Bike Gallery, Cimahi City. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling/accessible sampling (samples) as many as 80 people. Then the data was processed using SPSS version 25 software using simple regression analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the t test results have a significance value less than 0.05 (sig < 0.05), so it can be concluded that brand ambassadors partially have a significant effect on bicycle purchasing decisions. In addition, an R Square value of 0.306 or (31 percent) was obtained. This shows that 31 percent of the purchasing decision variables can be explained by the brand ambassador variable, while the remaining 69 percent by variables outside the study. These results show that the brand ambassador factor is not the only factor that influences consumer purchasing decisions given the complex nature of purchasing decisions and tends to fluctuate. Purchasing decisions are also influenced by various factors that are no less important, namely the need, brand, purchase channel and time of purchase. so that this research is expected to be used as a reference for companies in optimizing the role of brand ambassadors and other factors that will have a positive impact on consumer purchasing decisions.

Background: Addressing the issue of social responsibility is pleasant and valuable for every human being, and this category has found a special place in the context of sports. To date, different forms of this category have emerged, one of which is social responsibility in the individual dimension, which can be addressed to all sections of society. Objective: Due to the importance of the subject, the purpose of this study was to construct and validate a scale for measuring the social responsibility of famous Iranian athletes. Methods: The methodology of the present study is descriptive-analytical and based on the purpose of applied studies. The statistical population of the present study consisted of physical education students of Tehran, Beheshti, Modares and Kharazmi universities in 3 levels. Structural equations were used to determine the sample size and finally 338 questionnaires were examined. In order to evaluate the validity and reliability of the instrument, indicators such as exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis based on structural equation modeling, divergent and convergent validity and Cronbach's alpha and combined reliability, each of which performs a specific action. Results: Moreover, the results of all indicators indicated a favorable evaluation of the instrument. Conclusion: Therefore, it is suggested that researchers in the field of sports management use this standardized tool to assess the level of responsibility of famous Iranian athletes and provide desirable results.
