In a ferritin preparation from the lung of a patient with pulmonary haemosiderosis the aggregate forms of ferritin normally seen on starch-gel electrophoresis of ferritin were not found (Bungert et al, 1971). However, the protein was not compared in terms of its chemical composition with normal human lung ferritin, although it had a quite similar electrophoretic mobility to that of the normal human c-band.…”
