State analysis of overworked and underworked parting between contiguous seams and during their simultaneous top-down mining

Abstract: Purpose. Investigating conditions of conducting and maintaining excavation works during mining of seam l с 8 . Evaluating probability of parting rocks stability loss in terms of top-down mining of two contiguous seams in a series. Practical implications. The paper describes the possibility of the significant interrelation of contiguous seams during their simultaneous top-down stoping even if they are not related to the category of "adjacent seams". Therefore, in severe mining and geological conditions, it is r… Show more

“…Therefore, for the operational assessment of parting stability, a numerical analyses of curves has been performed ( Fig. 3 and 4) in conjunction with criterion (1). This results in the determination of interface areas of the stable and unstable state of the parting rocks, which are shown in Fig.…”

“…Moreover, because of the increased distance between the strata they cannot be referred to the category of contiguous seams. In this regard, authors of the work (Barabash, 2016), departing from experimental research into the stress of rocks in initially overworked and subsequently underworked massif of parting during С 9 and С 8…”
