State-wide Co-operation in Teacher Education

Abstract: on Higher Education appointed a joint University of Wisconsin-state college work group to study the needs of Wisconsin teachers for graduate study. This Committee observed that the percentage of teachers holding master's degrees in the state of Wisconsin was low compared to that of neighboring states. To meet the needs arising from changing times and conditions, it was recommended that the state pool its resources to provide graduate programs for experienced elementary-and secondaryschool teachers.
