Static and rotating solutions for vector-Galileon theories

Abstract: We consider a particular truncation of the generalized Proca field theory in four dimensions for which we construct static and axisymmetric rotating black hole "stealth solutions," namely solutions with (anti) de Sitter or Kerr metric but nontrivial vector field. The static configuration is promoted to a backreacting black hole with asymptotic (anti) de Sitter behavior by turning on a nonlinear electrodynamic source given as a fixed power of the Maxwell invariant. Finally we extend our solutions to arbitrary d… Show more

“…While we focused on the static and spherically symmetric configurations as a first step, we can extend the analysis to asymptotically non-flat BH solutions and rotating BH solutions, see Refs. [49,50,52] for such solutions in the specific models. In particular the existence of hairy Kerr BH solutions and stars with gravitational solitons was recently found for a complex Proca field [57,58], so it is of interest to study what happens in the presence of vector-field derivative couplings.…”

“…Most general vector-tensor theories with second-order equations of motion are dubbed generalized Proca (GP) theories [23][24][25]. The applications of GP theories to dark energy [26][27][28][29] and spherically symmetric objects [30][31][32][33][34][35] were extensively performed in the literature.…”

“…Note that such stealth configuration but for a dyonic four-dimensional Reissner-Nordstrom black hole was known in the case of an Abelian gauge field coupled to a particular Horndeski term [26] or for a generalized Proca field theory [27]. Outside the stealth point, the discriminant associated to the zeros of the metric function F is given by…”
