Statistical Analysis of Small Faults in Rotated Blocks of Crust Near the Húsavík‐Flatey Transform Fault, Northern Iceland

Abstract: The Tjörnes Fracture Zone accommodates right-lateral transcurrent motion between two segments of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge near northern Iceland (Figure 1). Portions of the Tjörnes Fracture Zone are exposed on land on the peninsulas of Flateyjarskagi, Tjörnes, and Tröllaskagi along the northern coast.
