The finance literature is giving more attention to financial frisk aspects. However, in literature, only a fragmented comprehension is known about the contextual influence of financial risk aspects of businesses. In this article, we contribute by carving out the intersections between Finance and Risk and analyze the production as well as visualize the evolution and trends of this field. In our research approach we use bibliometric technique to analyze 10 years of publications in Web of Science (WoS) database and present a comprehensive contextual picture of financial risk research. We analyzed 3024 publications by identifying the most prominent journals, authors, articles, countries and collaboration among authors and countries. Moreover, a cooccurrence analysis between authors, keywords and journal was done along as well as cluster analysis and thematic analysis is also performed to find the evolutionary trends. Our results showed that credit risk is the most trend topic over the last 10 years and performance and risk taking are two most inter-connected words using co-occurrence citation analysis. Our analysis showed that the corporate governance, financial crisis, financial innovation, and entrepreneurship are evolving themes and their occurrence is increasing and become more prominent in the in the domain of financial risk.

Increase in the diffusion of information communication technology in Africa has resulted in the increase of technology‐based financial products and processes. The rollout of financially innovative products and processes is being undertaken on both the macro level (by regulators and government agencies) and the micro level (banking institutions). To determine whether or not this capital‐intensive investment is worthwhile or otherwise, the study collected firm‐level data on banks operating in Ghana, West Africa, to examine the relationship between financial innovation indicators and bank performance. Using a quantitative design, the study employs panel regression to analyse a panel data of 21 banks (both local and foreign‐owned). operating in Ghana between 2007 and 2015 The results show that financial innovation, proxied by two industrywide interventions, has a positive and significant impact on bank performance. It is recommended that deposit‐taking institutions in developing countries invest in financial innovative services to increase their performance. On the macro level, governments and banking industry regulators in Africa are encouraged to invest in creating and supporting the proliferation of technology‐based systems that will improve banking processes.

Heterocyclic aramid fiber (Aramid III) is an important member of the aromatic polyamide family, featured as high strength, modulus, and thermal stability. However, the erosion by microorganisms severely jeopardizes these intrinsic properties. In this study, antibacterial and mildew‐proof Aramid III was facilely prepared via chlorination, which exhibited excellent bactericidal ability (100% bactericidal rate at 104 CFU/mL) against various microorganisms while experiencing only a slight decrease (less than 1%) in mechanical and thermal properties. Furthermore, Density Functional theory (DFT) calculations of the chlorination process and NMR spectra of the model molecule BPB revealed that the preferential chlorination sites were the NH bonds on the benzimidazole ring rather than those on amide group, and a cation reaction mechanism was initially proposed based on the differences in activation energy for various reaction pathways. The antibacterial and mildew‐proof functionalization in the present study may effectively prolong the service time of Aramid III, and the revealed chlorination mechanism may provide a reference for other halamine polymers.
