Statistical Quality Control in Uniformity of Drip Irrigation With Different Slopes

Abstract: The topography directly influences the functioning of an irrigation system, being necessary the determination of the uniformity to verify its performance. Statistical quality control is a powerful tool for verifying the quality of a process. Thus, it was aimed to use the statistical control of quality in the evaluation of the uniformity of a drip irrigation system in different slopes. The Christiansen’s uniformity coefficient (UC) and Uniformity of Distribution (UD) were determined and analyzed by th… Show more

“…For the authors Lopes et al (2019), declining irrigation was more uniform (CUC = 99.03% and CUD = 98.45%), however, for all the studied graphs, it was out of statistical control, unlike the data found in this work. They reached higher values of excellence in irrigation, but without statistical control.…”

“…Treatment N (kg ha -1 ) K (kg ha -1 ) P (kg ha (1942) to calculated the system uniformity of overlapping sprinklers. However, some previous studies have successfully used it in furrow irrigation (Kang et al, 2000), drip irrigation (Lopes et al, 2019), and micro-irrigation (Kumar et al, 2009) systems. The CU can also be used to quantify the uniformities of plant height (Zhao et al, 2012), soil water content with depth (Kang et al, 2000), nitrogen uptake (Guan et al, 2013), soil nitrogen (Zhou et al, 2018).…”
