Abstract:In this paper, the author analyses statistics of some typical ratios of random variables (RVs) occuring in analysis of large-scale wireless networks with node locations modeled by Poisson point processes. In such networks, fading and path-loss effects are the most important factors affecting the signal-to-interference ratio, which, in turn, is the crucial factor affecting various performance metrics. The author obtains formulas for the probability density, cumulative distribution, and moment generating functio… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
