Status of entomopathogenic nematodes in integrated pest management strategies in Pakistan.

Abstract: This chapter provides detailed information on indigenous entomophilic nematodes regarding their distribution, identification (based on morphological and molecular characterization), mass production, biology, virulence, formulation, application (in vegetable and arable crop protection) and commercialization. Their efficacy as a biological control agent or biopesticide against several insect pests is also highlighted, emphasizing the need for their inclusion in integrated pest management strategies in Pakistan.
