Abstract:In this work, a micropower step down DC/DC converter aimed at reducing the supply voltage in implantable medical devices is presented. The circuit was designed and fabricated in a 0.6 lm technology. The DC/ DC converter was tested for a wide range of input voltages between 1.9 and 5 V, output voltages between 200 mV and 1.5 V, and different load currents between 50 and 200 lA. In all cases the output voltage was regulated with less than 3 % error and 5 % ripple.
