Indeed, theoretical and experimental work from the last two decades have established that voltage jumps followed by linear progression of the voltage with current are a manifestation of vortex channeling in type II conventional and high T c superconductors. However, to the best of our knowledge this work constitutes the first observation of channeling controlled by patterned current injection. Note also that for fields up to 1000 G straight lines with the same slope and intercept fit the linear segments (between jumps) of the V ( I ) curves acquired at different magnetic fields.…”
