Abstract:Stereoinvertive deoxyamination involving Bose−Mitsunobu azidation and the Staudinger reaction, which proceeds under mild conditions in the presence of a neighboring group, was successfully applied for the synthesis of edoxaban. The one-pot process allowed access to key intermediates of edoxaban without isolating azide intermediates. Furthermore, the efficiency of the Bose−Mitsunobu azidation was dramatically improved by changing the substituent on the neighboring group from the Boc group to a thiazole carbonyl… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
