Stereotaxic surgery for non Parkinsonian Dyskinesias

Abstract: The authors report their experience in 39 stereotaxic operations performed on a group of 31 patients affected with several kinds of dyskinetic syndromes.VL and CM nucleus of the thalamus and dentate nucleus of the cerebellum were the subcortical structures destroyed In 19 cases "good" results were obtained, in 12 cases "moderate", and in 8 cases "poor" results.The authors briefly discuss indications and results of the stereotaxic operation.
