“…A rostral-caudal incision was made to expose the skull and, the three-dimensional stereotaxic coordinates for the VTA were determined according to the Paxinos and Watson atlas: the incisor bar -3.3 mm, -5.8 mm posterior to the bregma, ±0.8 mm lateral to the sagittal suture, and -9.3 mm down from the top of the skull ( 22 ).
