Abstract:A review of the theory of the stimulated resonance Raman scattering (SRRS) is given. The calculation of the gains for the SRRS with the ground level (SRRS I) or an axcited one (SRRS 11) as initial states shows that there are some restrictions for their appearance. Due to the strong resonance absorption of the pumping wave and the disturbing influence of stimulated fluorescence the SRRS I is not observable in a Franck-Condon excitation and in an absorption of Lorentzian line shape. The SRRS I1 has a sufficien… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
