Strange axial-vector mesons mixing angle

Abstract: The masses of the K 1 ( 3 P 1 ) and K 1 ( 1 P 1 ) are considered in a nonrelativistic constituent quark model, and the absolute value of the K 1 (to be about 59.29Comparison of the theoretical predictions on the strong decay widths of the K 1 (1270) and K 1 (1400) in the 3 P 0 decay model as well as the production ratio of these two states in the τ decay between the available experimental data strongly favors that themixing angle is about +59.29• .

“…One needs to note, however, that PDG listings [5] contain two states to which our K 1 resonance could be assigned: K 1 (1270) and K 1 (1400). Both have a significant mutual overlap [156][157][158][159][160][161][162][163][164][165][166][167][168][169][170][171][172][173][174]; analysis from the Linear Sigma Model suggests that our K 1 state has a larger overlap with K 1 (1400) [89]. Nonetheless, we will use m K1 = 1282 MeV for decays of excited states involving K 1 -this makes no significant difference to our results since the decays with K 1 final states are phase-space suppressed for the mass range of excited mesons.…”

“…The physical K 1 (1270) and K 1 (1400) states are a mixture of the J P C = 1 ++ and 1 +− states K 1A and K 1B : With a mixing angle θ of (59 ± 3) degree [50] the mass of the K 1A state is given by…”
