Strangulated transomental hernia: case report and literature review

Abstract: Internal hernias are a rare cause of acute intestinal obstruction and are defined as an incarceration of the small bowel through a natural or abnormal intra-abdominal orifice. Transomental internal hernias represent 1 to 4% of all reported internal hernias and are generally observed after the age of 50years old.
