Abstract

The beauty of nature and its cultural diversity has become an attraction in its creation and development. Tourism has now become one of the sectors that is able to contribute to considerable economic growth. Cirebon city has an extraordinary attraction that can be developed. The Cirebon City Government has set a tourism slogan, namely "The Gate of Secret" which means a secret door, meaning that Cirebon culture has a lot of tourist attractions, ranging from arts, traditions, architectural buildings, this is also strengthened by the palaces that owned by Cirebon which has long been a strong identity, in addition to natural tourism and unique culinary tourism. Another possibility is that arriving in Cirebon City is only for transit, for business purposes, because Cirebon City is the border between the Provinces of West Java and Central Java. The purpose of this study is to examine the potential and resources of Kejawanan Beach so that it can be developed into one of the marine tourism destinations that can be relied on in the city of Cirebon by analyzing and developing appropriate tourism development strategies. This research approach is descriptive qualitative using SWOT analysis technique.
