The purpose of this study is twofold: to highlight the strategic approaches followed in recent contributions in the field of finance connected to the main approaches of the pioneering authors (Graham and Dodd, 1934; Fisher, 1958; Fama and French, 1992; Lakonishok, Shleifer and Vishny, 1994) who have investigated VI; and to analyse whether scholars follow a qualitative appro… Show more

“…This new approach to raising money via the Internet is called crowdfunding, which allows individual founders of for-profit, social or cultural projects to request funding from multiple people (Mollick, 2014; Belleflamme et al , 2014). In recent years, the crowdfunding market has developed at triple-digit rates (Barbi and Bigelli, 2017) and research interest in crowdfunding has been increasing, even if the literature is relatively novel (Battisti et al , 2019). In particular, many scholars have distinguished the several types/models of crowdfunding (e.g.…”

“…Knowledge sharing (KS) represents a critical factor for an organization's success (Davenport and Prusak, 1998; Leonidou et al , 2018) because resources, capabilities and other intangible assets help a company to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage (e.g. Christofi et al , 2019a, b; Christofi et al , 2014; Battisti et al , 2019; Damilano et al , 2019; Guatri, 1991). In this context, intellectual capital (IC) plays an extremely valued role because the value creation process depends heavily on intangible resources and on their appropriate use (Hartono and Sheng, 2016).…”

“…Most investors use either the value investing or the growth investing approach when investing in the stock markets [1]. The value investing approach is less risky compared to the growth investing approach, which possess the potential to give better returns in the long run [2]. Value investing has been popular for decades until the COVID-19 pandemic, which has stirred things and left investors questioning whether value investing still works during the pandemic.…”
