“…As with strategic renewal, there is some ambiguity in how strategic entrepreneurship is conceptualized, which has left the door open for others to employ the term somewhat inconsistently. For example, Stokvik, Adriaenssen, and Johannessen (2016) adopt a very generic conceptualization of the term—that is, one in which a multitude of specific phenomena may be involved—when they observe that “strategic entrepreneurship is concerned with discovering and exploiting opportunities within and beyond an organization, in order to promote value creation (Venkataraman & Sarasvathy, 2001; Ireland et al., 2003)” (p. 349). This multiple-phenomena perspective is, likewise, reflected in Covin and Kuratko’s (2010, p. 208) observation that“strategic entrepreneurship approaches have as their commonality the exhibition of large-scale or otherwise highly consequential innovations that are adopted in the firm’s pursuit of competitive advantage.…”

“…This view is also supported by empirical evidence that suggests that employees value their jobs and wages during uncertain economic times reflected by higher unemployment (Hoskins, 2017) and inflation (Faccini and Melosi, 2019). Moreover, to assess the status quo and possible gains/losses, individuals tend to use a reference frame, which is a psychological point that can be altered due to various situational factors (Stokvik et al, 2016;Kahneman and Tversky, 1979). We argue that how people come to understand what they gain and lose can be shaped by the national economic context (Czaika, 2015) as this might alter the perceived status quo and/or the value function of people.…”

“…Entrepreneurship process is the process of creating value and can be done by either a new entrepreneur or an experienced one (Stokvik et al, 2016;Buchari, 2007;Hakim, 2012;Mahfud, 2012). Besides entrepreneur term, there is also intrapreneur, which is a term addressing someone who has entrepreneurial character, spirit, and put him or her into practice in the other's company (Nicholson et al, 2016).…”
